01 / The problem
Make an artist's catalogue findable, then hand the keys back.
A pressed flower artist selling commissions, bouquet preservation, and prints had a WordPress site where the catalogue was effectively invisible to search. Product titles were single words — “June,” “May” — carrying no descriptive or search value, there was no Search Console to see what was happening, and every enquiry route asked the customer to compose an email from scratch.
The engagement treated discoverability and enquiry quality as one problem. There is no point ranking for bouquet preservation if the resulting enquiry is a blank email that omits the date, the location, and the size.
02 / What changed
Before and after.
A one-time optimization pass across the website, Google surfaces, and the artist's Etsy shop, plus structured intake forms replacing open-ended email, finished with a training handover so the artist can write her own optimized listings as she adds work.
Before
27+ pieces listed under single-word titles (“June,” “May”) with no search value.
After
All 31 products rewritten with descriptive, keyword-led titles and descriptions. Nine original artist stories recovered after being overwritten.
Before
No Google Search Console — no visibility into search performance at all.
After
Search Console set up and connected to the site.
Before
No Google Business Profile for the art business; the only profile belonged to an unrelated venture.
After
A new Business Profile built from scratch — categories, service area, photos, and description.
Before
The commissions page said “email me,” producing vague and unstructured enquiries.
After
A structured intake form covering project details, timeline, and location.
Before
Bouquet preservation had no intake process.
After
A seven-field intake form — date, location, framing, size, design, call time, comments — mapped to the artist's actual pricing tiers.
Before
Speaking and workshops offered six generic topic options.
After
Trimmed to the three topics the artist actually wants to speak on, in her requested order.
Before
Print orders directed every customer to email for each purchase.
After
A direct route to the artist's Etsy shop, removing the manual back-and-forth.
Before
The Etsy shop had barely-touched listings and no SEO effort.
After
All 21 listings audited and rewritten — titles, tags, and descriptions.
Before
Technical SEO unverified; indexability unknown.
After
Confirmed clean — no indexing blocks, a proper sitemap, and correct robots.txt.
03 / Handover and outcome
Built to be handed back.
The engagement closed with a training handover so the artist can write her own keyword-led product descriptions as she adds new prints and artwork, rather than returning for every listing.
The client returned after the project specifically to ask about ongoing Google Business Profile and Etsy management.
Chuong is an excellent communicator, and follows up in clear detail with work he has done. I appreciate that he took the time to get to know the nature of my website, and how he explained to me the different aspects of SEO that were important to focus on. Whenever I had a concern, he was quick to reply and give me the information needed. I highly recommend Chuong for SEO and website design.
