Is Google hiding
your site?

One forgotten setting can keep a whole website out of Google, and nothing on the site will look wrong. Send us your web address and we’ll look for it, along with the listing problems that quietly cost local businesses calls. It’s free, and a founder replies within one business day.

What we look at

Six things that keep
local businesses hidden.

  1. 01

    Settings that hide pages

A noindex tag, a “hide from search engines” switch, a password left on after launch, or a robots.txt line that blocks crawlers. Any one of them can keep a whole site out of Google.

  2. 02

    What Google has actually indexed

Whether a search for your site shows the pages it should, and whether your sitemap lists them.

  3. 03

    Your Google Business Profile

Categories, services, hours, phone number and the website link, and whether they match your website.

  4. 04

    Your name and number elsewhere

Whether Bing, Apple Maps and the main directories show the same business name, phone number and website.

  5. 05

    Page titles

Whether your main pages name the service and the city the way customers search for them.

  6. 06

    The path to a call

Whether a visitor on a phone can find your number and call you in one tap.

Proof it catches real problems

We found a whole site hidden from Google.

The Crazy Picasso group runs three venues: Crazy Picasso, Tipsy Canvas and Celebrate Party Venue, a paint-and-sip and events business. When we checked whether Google could see their sites, we found a setting hiding one entire site from Google.

We removed it, rewrote 26 pages of titles and descriptions, and took each Google listing from 1 category to 4. Daily Google impressions rose 48% for Tipsy Canvas and 7% for Crazy Picasso, over 23 days. Impressions are how often the businesses appeared in Google results; bookings were not measured.
